Independence, understood.

A long-form series on dignity, clarity, and the future of independence for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This space is an invitation into the heart of why LIViQ exists. It’s shaped by the families I’ve listened to, the questions I carry, and the deep belief that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve lives defined by dignity, confidence, and belonging. These writings are my way of slowing down to name what independence really requires, and to stand alongside a community that has too often been asked to settle for less.
